Good Basement Framing
A good basement finish starts with good framing. It’s almost impossible to have a basement that looks good upon completion without a solid framing job. Walls that are true and plumb just look better and all the doorways are properly spaced and positioned. It makes the work of all trades that follow that much easier.
Code Requirements from the City
In addition to the aesthetic aspects of good framing there are also safety issues. By code, we must do fire preventative measure, like draft stopping and fire blocking. These are intended to slow the spread of fire, if one were to start in the basement. The codes that are in place are designed to give you plenty of time, over 40 minutes, to become aware of the fire, before it spreads. This is one of the many advantages of getting a building permit.
Experience Counts
All our framers have a minimum 8 years of framing experience. Our Sr. Project Manager, Scott has over 40 years of experience. All the basements they frame have superior craftmanship and follow all the required codes from the city.
With a solid start, from an expert framer, your basement project will look great upon completion and you’ll have the peace of mind of knowing that all safety procedures were followed exactly.
